Brit-Indian honeymooner denies being 'gay' as couple planned to have kids
London, Dec 19 : Shrien Dewani, the Brit-Indian millionaire whose wife was killed during their honeymoon in Cape Town, has rubbished allegations that he had murdered his wife because he is secretly 'a gay', and claimed that they were planning to have kids.
"We were madly in love and going to have kids," the Daily Star quoted Dewani, as saying.
According to one of Shrien's family friends, they said the couple, who married in a Hindu ceremony two weeks before the tragedy, were planning to hold another wedding ceremony in March.
"They had it all planned out," said a family representative. All those who couldn't make the wedding in India were to be invited to a civil ceremony in Sweden. To say anything else is ridiculous, ludicrous and disgusting," he added.
Earlier Dewani, who was accused of conspiring to have his wife killed in Cape Town, was released from Wandsworth Prison in south London by Justice Ouseley under conditions of electronic tagging, home curfew and having to report to the police daily.
Currently three men are in custody in South Africa for allegedly murdering Anni, including the couple's taxi driver, Zola Tongo, 31.
